Dr. Velasquez is a native of Colombia who has lived in the U.S. for thirty-seven years. He obtained his Dental degree (DDS) from Universidad San Martin in Bogota, Colombia, and then a Master of Science in Periodontics from the University of Texas at Houston. Dr. Velasquez owns three dental offices in the Houston metropolitan area, where he has been practicing for the last thirty years.
He has a comprehensive team approach and focuses his practice on Reconstructive and Cosmetic dentistry, which includes periodontics, bone regeneration, dental implants, and smile design. Dr. Velasquez and staff provide the highest quality of oral and dental care using state-of-the-art technology in a personalized, comfortable, and caring atmosphere.
Their goal is to deliver the best available treatment options, reduce stress, and achieve great results with reasonable fees. Dr. Velasquez is married to Tatiana Mejia-Velasquez. They have three children: Sophia, Simon, and Sara. He has a great passion for Paso Fino horses and enjoys going to the shows and competing. Aside from horses, in his free time, he loves bicycle riding, reading, fishing, and hunting.

Dr. Yasenka Gabriella Torres was born in Kansas and raised in Venezuela, where she earned her dental degree from Universidad Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho (UGMA) and received additional training as a Dental Laboratory Technician. Driven by her passion for excellence in prosthodontics, she went on to earn a Master of Science in Prosthodontics from the prestigious Ivy League Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York.
Today, Dr. Torres is proud to serve the Houston and Katy communities as part of the Dental Innovations Family, where she delivers exceptional, patient-centered care. With advanced training in prosthodontics, she specializes in restoring beautiful, functional smiles through crowns, dental implants, veneers, and implant-supported dentures. Dr. Torres combines cutting-edge technology with a warm, family-oriented approach, building lasting relationships based on integrity, empathy, and transparency.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Torres enjoys yoga, running, and swimming, as well as spending quality time with her son, Marco. She also loves cooking and hosting gatherings, believing that life’s most meaningful moments are those shared with loved ones.
